The All-Onomatopoeic Team
By Mikhail Horowitz
Editor's note: In our last roster, The All-Equestrian Team, we mistakenly listed a left-handed pitcher as Vince "Horseman." In fact, there is no "e" in Mr. Horsman's last name, but there is an E for this editor. My apologies to columnist Horowitz for the fumble, as well as to the Horsmans of Halifax, Nova Scotiaand to any horse lovers or baseball aficionados that we may have offended.
MIKHAIL HOROWITZ is the author of Big League Poets (City Lights, 1978). His adaptation of "Cool Casey at the Bat," the classic Mad magazine parody ca. 1960, is featured on the Diamond Cuts: Bottom of the Fifth CD.
