BASEBALL POETRY

Spring Training
By Sarah Freligh

Running windsprints in the outfield,
ten eleven twelve times past
the Ramada sign, a blonde
in a red bikini, Fuck
you, pussy spray-painted
across the hills
of her tits, Al bends to get
his breath back, the smell
of just-cut grass reminding him
of the first time he made love.
